Tactile + Visual Learning
Braille Connex combines three ways to explore each character:
Raised Print
Large raised print characters can be seen and felt, helping learners connect the printed character with its Braille equivalent.
Raised Braille
Raised Braille dots allow learners to explore each Braille pattern by touch and learn dot positions and character configurations.
Interlocking Design
The pieces physically connect, allowing learners to build words, names, and number sequences from left to right.
The combination of print, Braille, and interlocking pieces also makes Braille Connex useful for activities involving both Braille and print readers. Teachers, parents, siblings, classmates, and other sighted users can participate alongside Braille learners.
About the Braille
Braille Connex is designed as an educational and tactile learning aid.
The Braille dots are intentionally enlarged to make individual dot positions and Braille patterns easier to explore while learning.
Please note: Because the Braille is intentionally enlarged for educational purposes, the size and spacing are not intended to replicate standard literary Braille.
3D Printed in the USA
Every Braille Connex piece is proudly 3D printed in the USA.
Because each piece is 3D printed, you may notice minor layer lines or small variations in surface texture. These are normal characteristics of the 3D-printing process and do not affect the function of the product.
Safety
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD – Small parts. Not for children under 3 years of age. Adult supervision recommended.
Braille Connex is an educational learning tool and is not intended to replace formal Braille instruction from a qualified educator or Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
